I’m very excited to have a talk with Jonathan Redmond on the topic of autism this Sunday’s 4th of July 10am Berlin time. This will be a talk arranged by the Lacan Circle of Australia.
As you probably know, in my book I describes autism as a singular mode of being that is fundamentally linked to one’s identity and basic practices of existence, offering an alternative to treating autism as a mental or physical disorder. In this talk Jonathan and I will discuss Freud and Lacan’s psychoanalytic understanding of the subject and try to outline the unique features of the autistic subjective structure.
